LONDON: “End of the World”

Either you are disappointed or you are relieved that we survived or should one say, we didn’t kick the bucket just yet.
Me?
You see… I’ve went trough the “End of the World” saga already a few months ago when we shot this editorial with one hardworking team of creatives for FASHIONISING.COM.

LONDON: ” LaLaQueen “

20121031-192341.jpg

Recently introduced to Sally, the designer behind the brand LaLaQueen, trough a mutual friend who’s working with me on a film project, we all had dinner a week ago and I instantly felt I’ve known Sally for way longer than just a couple of minutes.

On my return to London I met up with “The Queen” aka my newly made friend for a midday tea.
We exchanged gifts. My eyes flickered as she handed me this colored clutch (above), Yey!!
In return I gifted her with one of the books that inspired me profoundly.
Next to the book on the picture below you can see the funky polka dot bag Sally had with her today. I believe her forte is color blocking & also combining colors in a way that transforms the otherwise classic bag into a fashion “eye candy”.

In her own words:
“LaLaQueen is a philosophical fashion statement! Its a compliment! Its the only way to be!
When you feel good, you look good.
Feeling good is a world waiting to be discovered, conquered and shared.
Carry your “world”
Set your style,
Set your trend,
Do it with confidence.
Do it with love ♥”

There is something about Sally!

At the neighbor table was a vision that made us laugh, I just couldn’t resist taking a picture.
They were well mannered puppies though and didn’t hop on the table at all!
Below you can spot Sally’s own little charm, the red gummy bear earring. Had to share !!

LONDON: “Juice & Art as Medicine”

20121006-193442.jpg

Morning GREEN JUICE and something i drink daily..read below.

All my childhood I had sore throat every time the season would change and if my immune system was not at it’s best it would repeat itself 2-3 times each season. Doctors would feed me with strongest antibiotics & obviously they’d have to up the dose as I was getting immune to them.
Until recently, when I have done a Juice Detox Reset for 10 days and my sore throat returned as my body was detoxing. So I ve said to myself, if I’m doing this to cleanse my body I might as well go all the way and do it right! I binned the antibiotics and followed an advice I was given.

Juicing, gargling and drinking:

LEMON + GINGER + GARLIC

Every morning and every evening.

Usually it would take me over a week to recover and against all odds I was brand new in 2days. Garlic is a natural antibiotic. Lemons are potent detoxifiers with anti-biotic effect that is protective against bacterial poisoning. The anti-viral properties in lemon fight infections and halt the progress of a cold. And Ginger has long been used as a natural treatment for colds and the flu. Many people also find ginger to be helpful in the case of stomach flus or food poisoning, which is not surprising given the positive effects ginger has upon the digestive tract.

So this is how I start most of my mornings. Works for me, but we are all different. Every body is unique. So listen to your body, as it usually tells you what it needs before we see the consequences.

Afternoon was spent at the V&A Museum mainly catching up with my girlfriend, sitting down for cup of hot tea & getting some inspiration for future shoots. Inspiration is vital!

Here are some of the bits and bobs that caught my eye:

London: ” Brixtaaaaan darling! “

20120929-194206.jpg

I planned and accomplished my weekly goals so naturally Saturday was calling for Brixtaaaan time, darling.
Grocery shopping at Brixton market & a meal at Oracles Organic Juice Bar & Restaurant, serving vitamin rich & energy filled vegan & vegetarian raw food in Brixton Village.
Had to be revisited! Today the owner didn’t have any raw vegan cakes as last time, bummer.
He is a character himself and so is the whole community of the village. You really have to go visit.

Tummy full. Time for some tea. We are in England after all.
Ladies of Brixton have officially United.

Great jacket, denim shirt and over all style. Here’s the link to his own blog about the clothing range founded by him and his wife:

People fascinate me. Different cultures fascinate me & so does the way individuals from all around the world express themselves trough fashion. Now put them in one place and you will get London as the end result.
I feel Brixton has that raw vibe. Not so super cool & hip yet for the hipsters to invade it completely, but underground and raw enough so you can still sense the movement of cultures under one roof.
It’s easy, fun & character driven. I adore it.

Till next time.

London: ” Truffles invades a magazine shoot “

While shooting a fashion editorial for Glassbook magazine today a lady with two puppies walks by.
This one was sweet & such a patient poser even though he looks a tiny bit angry here. I don’t blame him, not an easy job standing on your 2 back feet for 10mins when you usually use all 4.

I present to you, a talented model, who struts his stuff only part time. Goes by the name:
TRUFFLES
